Defining your why is one of the hardest questions you can ask someone, yet it is arguably one of the most important. We get so caught up in the details of the how and the what that we forget the why.
So when I was asked why on earth would you want to write a blog, Amanda, I simply answered why the hell not. Learning something new is a problem I want to have. I’m not particularly fond of writing, I have little knowledge of coding, and although I am fairly social media savvy, I don’t have near the amount of follows as some of the 19 year old booty queens putting out $399 meal plans. (Do you if that is your thing girrrlll)
Why would I want to write a blog? because I want to build a community around being fit, happy, and having a rocking career at the same time. You don’t need to run 5 miles every morning to be fit, or rock a 6 pack year around to be healthy, and you sure as hell don’t need to have a 6 figure job to be happy, but you CAN have those things.
Happiness comes from being authentically you.
The Authentic Amanda.
- I am a Christian. I am wife. I am a Shiba Mom. I have a full time and a half job.
- I love new things. I’ve never been a stagnant person, so on the side of learning French, fitness, and working, reading for book club, I study Mind Brain and Education, Educational Neuroscience, and I get to geek out with educators across the globe learning and teaching. I LOVE the BRAIN!
- I spend my free time with free weights. I am not all about the #teamnodaysoff, but I believe I am my best self after I have had some movement, whether it be a walk, or a session in the weight room. And just like Elle woods said “Happy people don’t kill their husbands”
- I dropped perfectionism like a hot plate. my macros won’t always be perfect, I’ll say the wrong things, I will fail, a lot, and that is okay, that is the beautiful journey of life.
I am here to spread love, health, happiness, fitness, and fierceness with all the women who need a little more light in their lives.
